Press Conference Room User’s Guide

The G8 Media Network has set up three media centers in Sapporo city:
Clark Hall at Hokkaido University (Hokudai)
The former International Guest House at Tenjin-yama (Mt. Tenjin)
Two floors in a private office building near the center of the city

The Citizen’s Media Center (CMC) in Clark Hall at Hokkaido University (Hokudai) will be open to ＮＧＯ/ＮＰＯs and other citizen groups from June 30th to July 11th for use as a press conference room. To hold a press conference at CMC-Hokudai, pre-registration is necessary.

• We kindly ask people who would like to use the CMC-Hokudai, to inform us in advance. (See Press Conference Room Reservation Form at the end of this page.)

Address: 2nd floor, Clark Hall, Hokkaido University, Kita-ku, Kita8-Nishi8, Sapporo city, Hokkaido (7min. walk from JR Sapporo Station)
Open days and hours: June 30th – July 11th everyday, 9am—9pm.　
Facilities: wireless LAN, 2 PCs available for registrants. *Press conference reports will be aired on G8 Media Network and OurPlanet-TV websites.

About press conference time tables

We are planning to concentrate press conferences between 10am and 12pm, and 4pm and 6pm daily in order to attract as many journalists as possible. To reserve the date and time slot to hold a press conference, please contact us at the address below.

About English<->Japanese interpreters

G8 Media network will provide E<->J interpreters for press conferences. If you need interpretation service for a press conference you organize, please be sure to inform us when you reserve the date and time.

How to reserve a press conference room

To reserve a press conference room, please pre-register at Online Pre Registration Page (using the name of your organization’s representative). Please also fill in the form below and send it to press@g8medianetwork.org.

• Available press conference dates and times: June 30th (Mon.) -July 10th (Thurs.), 10:00-12:00, 16:00-18:00.
• One organization can reserve more than one conference.
• G8 Media Network PR Unit will arrange time schedules and inform you of the results at least two days prior to the day of your press conference.
