CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!

Are you interested in activities concerning international exchange, language interpreting/translating, citizen journalism or citizens' media? Join us today. We "G8 Civil Media Center, Sapporo" are now looking for peers who can play role with us to help and manage interpersonal communications in multilingual situations, and to put out information in various media formats.

People began using their own resource in recent years to share opinions and communications towards international conferences ((summit meetings)) like G8, and today, the G8 Civil Media Center ("CMC" in short) is an ongoing project, being organized to provide an alternative place to exchange and output your and our speech.

Before and around the "G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit" to be held this coming July, groups of people prepare response activities and events to the summit, and number of them are to take place here in Sapporo. Seasonally, journalists from around the world ((diverse corners)) would gather in the city to transmit the reports and the information globally.

The CMC preparatory team in Sapporo wants generous hands of a wide range of people ((individuals)) to found and run the organization.

Qualifications apply to anyone who:

- is regardless of age, sex, race or nationality, AND
- is able to enroll as an interpreter or a translator performing cross-lingual ability, OR
- is fairly communicative and fluent ((at certain level)) in both Japanese and English (in forms of AU, CA, GB, US or etc.), German, French (in forms of CA, FR or etc.), Italian, Spanish (in forms of ES, MX or etc.), Korean, forms of Chinese and/or any other forms of language, OR
- desires to practice linguistic abilities for actual demands ((in actual situations)), OR
- has interest in publishing information in media formats like video, announcing or writing, OR
- has Web designing/programming skills, OR
- likes to plan and manage various types of event programs.
